Donation Info

The Woodlands Symphony has counted on crowdfunding for a long time. Our mission is to bring low cost and even free concerts to the community a number of times each season. It’s fun to give so others can get!

You donation of any amount, $10-$100 gets your name in our next Woodlands Symphony program. For a $110 donation, the WSO will reserve two (2) seats in our VIP reserved seating for December 22 Christmas Concert at First Baptist Church The Woodlands.

Want to give more? A medium level sponsorship of $500 can be used to put your name next to certain musicians side-by-side in the program to show your support. Pick your favorite instrument/player and team-up.

A sponsor makes large donations either personally or from their company becoming the underwriter of a concert. Those donations are always given top billing at concerts, in programs, press releases and incorporated into the WSO website. Use our contact form to be personally guided through the process.

Darryl Bayer
A man with a mission

Principal trumpeter for the Woodlands Symphony turned Artistic Director, Darryl Bayer has reimagined the orchestra and kept it flourishing for over a decade. Won’t you join him and local musicians in the fight to keep the arts alive in The Woodlands, TX?

“Darryl Bayer works night and day to keep the lights on for the Woodlands Symphony Orchestra” – his wife

Everything you wanted to know about the WSO!

In 1992, a small group of interested community members met with Darryl Bayer to ask him questions regarding running a symphony orchestra. Soon after the Woodlands Symphony was formed with Dagang Chen as conductor and Darryl Bayer, principal trumpet. For fifteen years this groups did amazing concerts and with the help of Lana Hazlette, educational programs before concerts in schools.

In 2008 the economic downturn forced the symphony to close it’s doors but five years later with the prodding of many musicians and the help of Dr. David Gottlieb The Woodlands Symphony returned with an all new line up of musicians and outside-the-box concerts. In 2013 performed Mahler Symphony #1 with a tribute to George Mitchell, founder of the Woodlands and to his wife Cynthia for her contributions to the arts. More to come….
